Vector's general operations consists of the provision and production of energy infrastructures and it is New Zealand's largest provider and distributor of gas and electricity. Its business portfolio consists of the following two segments: Electricity: the group owns the network in Auckland, Wellsford and Papkura, comprising of approximately 18,000lkms of underground cables and overhead lines. The group provides battery support, maintenance, and the management of power outages. Gas: the group provides and maintains the gas network within the wider Auckland region. This includes services such as: connection, disconnection, gas mains relocation, consents and approvals, reporting gas leaks or faults, and requests regarding maps, or general inquires.Furthermore, the group also provides free electric vehicle charging stations across Auckland.
